ok let's look at Business Insider's ex Senior Finance Correspondent and current columnist Linette Lopez.

LINETTE LOPEZ BELIEVES SHE'S ELON'S OBSESSION

Let's look at Business Insider's ex Senior Finance Correspondent and current columnist Linette Lopez.

Linette Lopez is a Business Insider journalist, who writes incredibly biased and misleading articles re Tesla. Furthermore, Linette Lopez has pinned a tweet from July 6, 2018, stating ‘I’d just like to point out that right now, right this very moment, @elonmusk is going through my Facebook history and screen grabbing things to share with his friends on the internet... if you’re investing in Tesla or in a Tesla you need to sit with that. $TSLA’. This is clearly absurd and impossible, Elon could not be constantly going through her Facebook, and for her to so blatantly promote this garbage is concerning.

BUSINESS INSIDER (TRADING)?

Business Insider’s Henry Blodget, is the Co-Founder, CEO & Global Editor in Chief of Business Insider. He is barred for life from the securities industry because of violations of securities law, (the SEC, NASD & the NYSE have permanently barred Henry Blodget from the Securities Industry).[1] Henry was once a research analyst covering the Internet sector for Merrill Lynch in the late 90s until he was banned for life from the securities industry because of his violations of securities laws. A subsequent civil trial, ended with Henry receiving a $2 million fine & a $2 million disgorgement in 2003. Although Henry’s predictions were often wrong, in the later 90s he continued to earn large sums of money. For example, shortly after the 2000 merger of AOL & Time Warner, Blodget predicted that within 2 years the resulting enterprise would become the world’s most valuable company. It turned out to be the most disastrous merger in corporate history. Meanwhile, Blodget’s compensation at Merrill Lynch rose from 3 million dollars (1999)- 12 million ( 2001).”[2]

After the dot come crash, Eliot Spitzer (a journalist), wanted to know why the research departments at so many Wall Street firms, instead of issuing warnings, released reports designed to gain favour with companies at the expense of investors. After examining copious amounts of emails and research reports from Merrill lynch, Spitzer uncovered e-mails that suggested that Blodget consistently misled investors by publicly praising digital companies that, privately, he described as “dogs” or as a “POS” (a piece of shit).[3]

In spite of this, Henry has thrived and now runs Business Insider, as Co-Founder, CEO & Global Editor in Chief. In a later section, this blog will examine the board of Business Insider’s parent Axel Springer and their connections to criminal activity, market manipulation and corruption.

BUSINESS INSIDER ROLE IN BREAKING THE 420 SCANDAL

Let’s examine Business Insider’s role in information disseminating after the events of the 420 Funding Secured tweets. Surreptitiously, Business Insider’s Kate Taylor knew to contact Azealia Banks just after the 420 scandal breaks[13], and from Bank’s accounts harassed her for dirt on Musk.

Before we begin, it’s worth noting some of Bank’s public statements post Business Insider re Musk, where she apologises and admits she only knows things via Grimes, even saying it was strange that Grimes was sharing so much.

Although, as Musk told the New York Times, he did spot the rapper at his home "as she was leaving." He said Banks was not in "hearing range" re details of the 420 case, and he did not recognise her.[14] Moreover, Banks was at Musk’s house two days after the scandal, a she notes, and all the info she received was from Grimes, who is not a Tesla employee, and would unlikely be privy to all the details of the deal. Moreover, Grimes messages to Banks that were leaked were filled with lies [this will be explored in a coming post], so why would any of this be believable.

After being contacted by Business Insider Banks laments her distaste for journalists [15] , stating that she "generally think journalists are parasitic," before adding that she could "never imagine salivating the way you do" over stories (referring to Business Insider’s Kate Taylor).[16] Indeed, posted screen shots from Banks to Business Insider’s Kate Taylor include the following statements from Banks[17] - “Have you heard of treasure island?”…“I think you would like it”.

I’m not sure what Treasure Island is supposed to mean. Perhaps that BI is using threats and violence to get their way? Appreciate any insight in the comments.

Banks also asks Kate “Do these kind of “exclusives” get you brownie points with your boss?”, going on to say “I just could never imagine salivating the way you do?”. This suggests Kate was aggressive for dirt on Musk, and it seems Banks may have struck up a promotional deal with Business Insider in exchange for dirt on Musk, as she then went on to ask Business Insider to write about her cosmetics range.[18]

BUSINESS INSIDER OBSESSED WITH MUSK AND GRIMES 'RELATIONSHIP'

As of January 1st, 2020, when you google "elon musk dating grimes" a Business Insider post is the Featured Snippet.

Indeed, if one Googles Musk's Wikipedia page, Business Insider is the source confirming that they are still together as of December, 2019.

In fact in the last month of so, there has been an insane amount of Business Insider articles about Elon's relationship with Grimes, which is strange given Business Insider is supposed to be about business.

I think an important question to ask now, is *why* an anti-Musk news source is so obsessed with promoting this relationship.
